We are all connected and are a part of the natural world.
When we delve into and learn about our connection to all things natural we
reconnect with who we are on a deeper level. We learn about our true purpose
here on earth. The trees, plants and animals are all energy beings with their
own purpose and spirit. Each animal offers a specific message that can help to enrich
our lives and spiritual journeys.
At birth each person, has an Animal Totem. This particular
animal watches over us from birth and remains with us through the course of our
lives. Native Teachings refer to this as our “Animal Birth Totem.” Throughout
our lives other animals come to us in many forms to teach, guide and protect us
as we walk upon Mother Earth.
Several years ago I taught workshops on “Finding your Animal
Totem” and “Animal Helpers.”
I am taking this informal poll to discover if this
topic is something you would be interested following to learn more about.
With life being very busy it is important for me to know if
people are interested. I would very much appreciate your thoughts on this. If I
get enough positive responses I will begin to write and post information here.

Great Blue Heron came to me this past summer to walk this part of my journey with me. This bird stands alone and fishes alone. Alone with an illness ....I have learned to stand alone and face my fears .....and learned to live harmoniously along side this illness and the long legs of heron teaches you to stay firmly grounded to mother earth ....when you are grounded you stay fully present and can appreciate the beauty that nature and animals gift us with on a daily basis...mother earth is a mangnificent classroom with plant and animal teachers...who impart wisdom to us if we choose to be open to it.....
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your journey and how Heron has influenced your healing. So very true and well written. I invite you to come back often and share your insights and wisdom.
