Blogger Traffic Theives- Buyer Beware!

Recently I was forced to have a discussion with a fellow photographer who has been holding my own blog hostage on a number of occasions to promote his own agenda. I am new to blogging or I would have caught this much sooner. This individual preyed on my lack of experience. His intention was not to leave a genuine comment on my blog, but to redirect my traffic and your visits away from my page to his own wildlife photography site. What a "internet traffic thieves" do is create a comment that links to their own site, so when visitors click on their comment they are redirected to their site. Visitors may not even realize that the 2 sites are not owned by the same person, unless you catch on to the different company name and persons name. This is in fact a very deliberate action taken to steal your traffic. They do so in such away that you do not discover this as a Blogger Administrator/Owner until you have already accepted/published their comment with the hidden link to their own site.

To be clear if you have clicked to read his comment in the past on my blog, we are in no manner whatsoever affiliated. I do not whatsoever reflect the same ethical standards that he holds.

It is indeed a sad day in this industry, when this occurs. While his work is good, he has showed clearly that his ethics are not. This leads me to wonder about his own customer service ethics. For myself I would not feel I could buy with confidence from someone who holds such low professional standards and ethics. Those who are truly gifted photographers do not need to resort to such standards in business.

While professional photographers may not see eye to eye in all cases, I believe most of us would agree on certain ethical standards for all. I have intentionally not named this photographer.... I believe he has stolen enough of my traffic and airtime already.

I do believe many in this field of professional photography to be ethical.... but I believe the old adage "buyer be ware" applies to all levels of both store front and online businesses.

I invite you to visit my own "Genuine Website"
